At Dementia Concern, our volunteers push the boundaries of what we are able to achieve as an organisation and we would not be able to do what we do without them. Volunteers support us in a range of areas, working alongside staff and service users to change the lives of people in our community. Some volunteers are on the ground, providing dementia services across the Borough, whilst others support our back office functions through volunteering in a fundraising, communications or administrative capacity. Whatever way you can help us, we would like to hear from you!
Volunteers can expect to gain a range of skills and experience. There are also a range of training and development opportunities available. Additionally, volunteering can be a great way to build confidence and improve mental health and wellbeing. Volunteers will gain satisfaction from giving back to the community, meeting new people and connecting with others. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to participate across the organisation, for example through attending staff socials as well as accessing some company benefits.
